Won't cast to tv, can't pick up where you left off, very frustrating app to use, why is the Search button called "Browse"

App won't open, gets stuck, frozen on screen with rte player writing on white screen when attempting to open. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times
I used this app couple years ago but I ended it uninstall ing it as it did not deserve even 1 star , I'm rating 2 now it keeps buffering subtitles are out sync. Gonna uninstall again it's a nightmare to watch anything while having to pause it every 5 mins
Using on a mysaga c2 on android 4.2 (cheap Chinese phone cost €70) works well, better than on desktop or laptop update 2022. so bad, does not work at all on Alcatel A7. When I attempt to play something the player screen shows briefly and then closes and it reverts to the home screen. I have uninstalled.Judging by the reviews It seems RTE just dont want to invest sufficiently to get their app up to standard.
Why are there so few programmes on Player ? Why is " The Case I'll never forget ... " which was on last night , not on Player ? Same the previous night , thestory of those English crashed cars being sold in Ireland??? NOT MUCH OF A PLAYER compared to Virgin or All4 !!!!
